Features

What Wokko actually does.

Every feature exists for one reason: getting you out of bed and keeping you there.

Walk-to-dismiss alarms

The alarm fires. You walk. It stops. No snooze button exists โ€” the only off switch is your legs. Wokko counts steps using your phone's accelerometer with cadence detection, so arm-flicking in bed doesn't count. You have to actually walk.

๐ŸŽฏ

Adjustable step goal

The default is 30 steps โ€” enough to get you out of the bedroom and moving. Going through a rough patch? Lower the goal. Building momentum? Push it higher. The goal is yours to set, and you can change it anytime from the alarm screen.

Streaks + lifetime steps

Every successful walk-to-dismiss adds to your streak and your lifetime step total. After 30 days, that number becomes something you protect. The streak-at-risk notification fires at 9 PM if you have no alarm set for tomorrow โ€” a gentle nudge before it's too late.

Wake history

A record of every morning you successfully dismissed. Not a judgment โ€” just a log. Some people find seeing a full week of checkmarks more motivating than any reminder. Your wake history lives on your device and goes back as far as you've been using the app.

ADHD-friendly design

ADHD brains dismiss alarms without being conscious they did it. Cognitive tasks โ€” math problems, QR codes โ€” get solved on autopilot. Walking is different: it works around executive function and activates the vestibular system before your brain decides whether to cooperate. The streak gives your dopamine-wired brain a visible reward worth protecting.

On-device privacy

Your step data, alarm settings, streak count, and wake history never leave your phone. Wokko doesn't need a login, doesn't use GPS, and doesn't upload your steps anywhere. Delete the app and everything goes with it. We collect anonymous crash reports and usage analytics โ€” never step counts, names, or location. Full details in our privacy policy.
